I can provide music for a variety of occasions from private and corporate functions to hotel or restaurant entertainment and music festivals and concert performances.
Solo Guitar
As a solo guitarist I offer a repertoire of jazz, latin, popular, Spanish and classical music. Solo guitar is particularly suitable for a calm setting such as a reception, art gallery or garden party. I generally play a nylon string acoustic guitar for solo engagements, for the warmth and wide tonal range of the instrument.
Russell Jarrett and Simon Taylor Duo
I work with Simon Taylor in a contemporary jazz guitar duo. We play both acoustic and electric guitars, mixing tunes from the popular repertoire with gypsy jazz, blues, funk and original compositions. A feature of the duo is to present familiar music in different and unexpected styles. The duo may frequently be seen on Wednesdays at the Café Rouge in Dorking, Surrey. Nchanted
I play with Mark Etherton’s Nchanted project in a Spanish guitar setting. Nchanted provide fire and excitement to events around the UK. The music is in the style of the Gypsy Kings and Nuevo Flamenco. Nchanted are available as a guitar duo, trio or with added percussion.
